Yes, the value of infrastructure goes well beyond what we can describe through monetary means. That was the main theme of my Ph.D. thesis!

Having car-free days (two per year) and Ciclovía (every Sunday) was amazing growing up in Bogotá! There was always some pushback (particularly for car free days), but by and large they are programs cherished by Bogotanos and one that I really hope I see in Toronto.
