It doesn’t happen at every PhD defense that committee members comment on how powerful the candidate’s answers are, but it did yesterday as Dr. Alex Wagstaffe discussed their work on Mary Robinson’s “Gothic Green Romanticism.” It’s been an honor to be on this journey with you, Dr. Wagstaffe! ✨❤️

Oh cool! These are my very first Sheaffers, actually. I think it’s an Imperial, two Balances, a Touchdown, and two Lady Sheaffer Skripserts—but maybe you can tell me!

It is inconceivable to me that a university that has a program called GENDER AND SOCIAL JUSTICE is happy to attach its name to this kind of epistemological violence.

My wonderful colleagues are getting a lot of shit for this piece they co-authored calling out McMaster University for partnering with a recognized anti-trans hate group—a partnership whose work was cited by Clarence Thomas in the recent despicable ruling on trans medical care.

Um, I VERY MUCH DID NOT??

In the midst of all that is wrong in the world, I am blessed to be back in the city in which I was born (Taipei) for the first time in 47 years, with my mom and both my sisters, and yesterday I saw this perfect bird

Are you a Canadian researcher who was just invited by your university to apply for the Scotiabank Net-Zero Research Fund? Please remember that Scotiabank is still invested in Israeli defence contractor Elbit Systems Ltd.

Profiting from genocide to fund climate research? Depraved. No thank you.
