Whether that matters is the next obvious question as you could argue the outcome is the same/similar: explaining science to a lay audience.

I'd be curious as to how the creator perceives themselves.

There's nuance here, and without knowing anything about the behind the scenes as to how Angela makes these videos, I would probably call this science communication rather than science journalism.

And while commentators are right to say DeepSeek's new AI chatbot is a game changer, @sydneyuni.bsky.social's @jkkummerfeld.bsky.social cautions we shouldn't take all the hype about China now dominating the field too seriously.

While much of the public attention on PFAS — or forever chemicals — has been on their detection in drinking water supplies, sources of PFAS are more ubiquitous than many people realise, as Victoria University's Stephen Gray & Jianhua Zhang explain.

Where do we get exposed to PFAS and how can we remove them? - 360

One of the things I really like about working for 360info is that we take the time to find the right expertise to explain what's really going on & provide the important context that helps you understand the issues.

My latest two commissions are great examples of that.

I’m going to take a slightly longer break over the New Year while I have a think about what I’d like to do next, but as always feel free to reach out for a chat if you’ve got an opportunity you think I might be a good fit for.

I was also a production editor for 360info & all up the more than 165 stories I worked on reached a combined potential audience of more than 310 million people.

Not a bad return on 20 months’ work.

I’m really proud of the stories I got to be a part of during my time there.

My thanks to the authors of the 98 (soon to be 99) stories I commissioned & published.

Getting to delve once more into the breadth of science, technology, environment, health & other topics was a real privilege.
