ok i’m taking the liberty of going with giggle, there WERE a few lines with laugh but they were either a) not that good or b) TOO good and i want to save them for the full fic. so you get giggle. yes this is werehyena stede, you get to imagine where he’s sniffing 😌
She was expecting it, this time, but she still jumped a little at the first brush of his nose. His snuffling breath tickled against her bare skin, and she had to hold back a giggle. She took a deep breath to push it back, and right, there was something else she was supposed to be doing here.

No faggy shit, CJ had said in the hall outside the girl’s apartment, and Ed rolled her eyes at how fucking stupid that was, but she abided by it all the same. Followed the rules, kept her hands and her eyes where they were supposed to be, on lace and softness and [bare freckled skin], not on a droplet of sweat traveling down between a pair of tiny tits, or the edge of a harness strap disappearing under a denim waistband.

i forgot it was wip wednesday can i interest you in a little background on what ed’s doing out in the savanna on her own in my werehyena!stede fic
grabbed and what she’d forgotten. This time it was the food: she had enough for a fortnight, but it was somehow all jerky. Fuck. Annoying, but survivable. The uszh. Next: a plan. Her mind meandered while she slowly repacked, folding and situating her things with the care she hadn’t had time for earlier. These days, she usually had a plan half-formulated at all times. She didn’t try to do it. Every time she moved somewhere new, she wanted it to be the place that she’d stay. Didn’t want to consider escape routes. But her mind did it without her permission, quietly slipping out and gathering information, coming back and building up a little cache. It did it all in the background, unnoticed, and then when things inevitably went to shit, all her options and contingencies were already there, rapidly crystallizing into a plan. It fucking sucked being right.

just some casual friday night reading (an 85-year-old instructional pamphlet by one of the artists who popularized silkscreen prints in the US)
A printed-out scan of a 2-up pamphlet entitled “Silk Screen Technique: Technical Problems of the Artist Series” A spread from later in the same pamphlet, with the chapter title “IV: Preparing the stencil”. i know i’m a day late on the auction stuff but omg i’m laughing my ass off at the auction website adding a weapons disclaimer to the listing for the whale paperweight 😭😭😂😂
