So far this book that was written in 1980 predicted paid cloud compute, Dyson sphere-ish tech around a neutron star, nucleonic lifeforms and even AI video and image generation (including prompts).
Only half way in and it's one of the best things I've read.

20 years ago a friend lent me Dragon's Egg by Robert L Forward. Just started reading it because chatgpt recommended it (I've been asking it a lot about FTL travel and theoretical non carbon based life forms). This book is perfect and I would not have appreciated it as much 20 years ago.
