Cosmic crispies (Golden comets) have already started laying, which i wasn't expecting until October at the earliest. I'm gonna be drowning in eggs next spring. The tiny eggs are very cute tho. 😭

I have hilled my potatoes with hay, and now the smallness of my raised bed is becoming apparent. I am going to have a massive towering structure here by August I fear. But hopefully also a lot of potatoes? 🥴

Fiddleheads and shallots. I honestly don't love these enough to bother foraging them, but they're a nice departure from the regular veggie lineup.
