Long-time Chicagoan. Minor league intellectual. Dad, has too many cats, semi-retired. Hater of small-minded grievance and the MAGA cult it fuels and sustains.
Trump is revealing the limitations of the Roy Cohn strategy of always hitting back ten times harder and never admitting a mistake.

It works when you're in a rhetorical war of words but hits a wall when hitting back means people can't eat or fly on an airplane.

Dishonesty turns into delusion when people stop believing your lies.

That very car was probably owned by a guy who jumped from the 25th floor after losing everything in the crash.

Trump loves the uneducated.

The "problem here" is that Yglesias is a second rate "intellectual" who has to resort to inflammatory nonsense like this to get attention.

Sooner or later, Trump is going to become the contemporary equivalent of Baghdad Bob, spewing comically obvious lies as the world around him is in flames.
October 25, 2025 at 12:56 PM
Curiously ignorant about absolutely everything.

You just need one of these.

Every Ethernet switch has a transceiver port where you can interconnect fiber (glass) and copper.

People even have these in their homes nowadays if they have the latest and greatest Internet service which runs over fiber.

Any level one tech knows this.

In an age dominated by lies and myths none are bigger or more prevalent than the phony notion of a left-leaning mainstream media.

Or, for that matter, a media adhering to a set of practices and standards meant to objectively inform the public above all else.

They're grabbing random laborers from prosperous North side neighborhoods. They're way too chicken to set foot in an area that has actual criminals.

Criminals are dangerous, you know.

She's a Nazi, too, according to what I've read. So she deserves to be poisoned by Trump's awful body odor.
October 14, 2025 at 11:29 PM
He stinks, too...
October 14, 2025 at 11:26 PM
It's flashing red again....

And the crazy thing: it's the opposite. The government has only grudgingly accepted things like civil rights after a massive groundswell of protests compelled them to do so.
October 12, 2025 at 10:26 PM
"Other people in America" is a useless question without specifying "which" people.
October 6, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Thank you for standing up to the orange tyrant Trump!

But let's remember what really matters, here: keeping trans athletes from participating in Olympic fencing.

Poor baby...

What happens to all those kids they separate from their parents?

What crimes against humanity are being committed against these, poor, terrified little kids?
October 2, 2025 at 6:38 PM
Trump and Project 2025 are the inevitable outcome of hate and grievance combined with citizens United and relentless propaganda on TV, radio, and social media.

And throw in a lot of Russian disinformation, anti-intellectualism, and a long-festering urban rural divide.
