At least have the decency to tell us what you used it for, put out a fucking statement, so people can make a call on whether they will buy it or not. Cause I'm sure as hell not picking this up until I know exactly how you used AI in this.

Gen-AI in videogames is bad enough, when the game in question is played by 10 people. It pisses me off royally, when the game in question is a GOTY-contender that is praised as setting new standards.

Not only did we see unapologetic AI-use, but also a merch-cooperation with ZA/UM. Or rather the corporate husk that is left after a hostile takeover, that left the original team on the streets.

11Bit was one of my favorite devs. Sadly, the Alters is the last game I'll ever have bought from them.

When I finished Act 1, I was sure this is my game of the year. By the time I finished the game, I was conflicted about the game itself and downright pissed at the developer. 11Bit's own statement showed that the only thing they regretted, was getting caught. They don't see issues with AI-use.

Yeah, I reported it to steam and requested a refund, when the AI info came out. They denied it without comment. Really wish Steam would bother enforcing it's own policies and putting a disclaimer on the store page.
