Hello from Mama Cass.

I read the news outside these days. It helps to take a break and close my eyes and feel the morning cool air and hear the birdsongs. Sometimes the stray cats we take care of say hi or show off their skills.

Dtla @padilla.senate.gov office visit with a local @indivisible.org group.
February 4, 2025 at 8:36 PM
Dropped off my letters at Padilla’s office. They’ve received 1100 calls today, so far, and people visiting their offices. Nearby, there’s an immigration protest and Alameda will be blocked off. Took a couple of photos from the walk from his office to my car.

Re-reading Remembered Rapture by bell hooks. First read the book in 2007 and trying to locate a quote for a creative workshop/essay. This is not the quote but I love the end of the preface.
