I've been enjoying PBS digital studios educational content for years. Didn't realize they had a subscription service. For me this is the easiest sell ever, especially considering the circumstances.

In my first year of picking up hiking for my physical and mental health, I've logged at least 261 miles (420 km ... nice) and 47,052 feet (14,341 m) up and down.

My first hike was quite dangerous due to my ignorance and ambition. Now they have warning signs on that trail.

This wild grown black raspberry patch I've cultivated in the last couple years is right behind. Based on the level of blossoming, I'm hoping to have lots of raspberries this year.

First homegrown apples have been pollinated 🤞. "Summer Rambo"

1st fig tree grown from cutting is going well! It's chillin in my bedroom window now. This one is called "Colonel Littman's Black Cross".

to be clear, zeni's current collection is definitely insane and should be celebrated. i think debating different runners achievements / stacking them up in any serious pretense is always a bit silly, because we all have different arcs.

I've had quite a few IGT runs that I think were better than this (typically worse phantoons and cleaner mid to late games).

But I held together a godlike phantoon fight good enough to get this :)

1. This frog seemed to be in a state of quiescence on a cold winter day. Did not move for many hours when I returned... I feel ya, buddy... I feel ya.

2. Stream and bridge crossing. Semi-moving long exposure.

Lichen and moss compete for space on a rock. I tried to composite 2 differently focused images here.

some climbing walls off side trails. apparently, someone heard people drilling years ago which alerted the rangers but they have all come to an agreement by now.

This hike is really close to me so I stop here somewhat frequently to take a break and enjoy. I think this is my favorite photo I've gotten of it so far.

I like the contrasting orange and dead brown leaves in the foreground and how the far back hills stand out slightly better (b/c cloud coverage).
