I hope they throw the book at him. People like that should never see the sky again except from behind the bars at Rikers Island

Hanwha has even repainted the gantry crane. It’s really weird to see somebody actually investing in a US shipyard, and even stranger because this LNGC won’t even be Jones Act-qualified.

No. Robotaxis are another techbro fever dream cooked up by weird software devs who hate having to interact with humans, and think that normal people hate it too. It’s just an extension of the same idea that led to Zuckerberg’s “metaverse” and putting those ordering screens inside the McDonalds

So I’m gonna guess 1 of 3 things happens:
1 Supervisors get removed anyway and crashes ensue
2 Musk says Tesla will remove the supervisor in 6 months but they remain for the next 10 years
3 Supervisors get removed but the taxis end up being remotely driven by a room full of Tesla employees

I think you may be mistaken about that. I sincerely doubt that any amount of meaningful progress could have been achieved through diplomacy. The complication you need to remember here is that theocracies are not rational actors.

I am very sad that I only discovered this account today, because this is a great Eleanor Rigby parody

It’s sad to see something destroyed that belongs in a museum, but better destroyed than serving a tyrant.

Leaded gasoline probably played a role, as did the deinstitutionalization movement. The widespread lead poisoning caused by leaded gasoline likely impacted the neurological development of an entire generation, & deinstitutionalization let crazy people spread their delusions as conspiracy theories

The simple answer is a combination of Rupert Murdoch being generally evil and the activist class managing to alienate basically everybody else in the country

I’ll follow them on Bluesky, but experience with @actblueorg.bsky.social taught me to never give out my phone number or email to anybody involved in politics.

Why doesn’t anybody tell me these things are happening?
June 15, 2025 at 12:09 AM
Yeah, we get kind of spoiled in that respect. People here look askance when the floor has dirt on it, graffiti is nonexistent, and the trains top out at 75 mph (120 km/h).

Thank you. Also, WMATA is still being artificially sandbagged b/c it runs a large new line (the Sliver Line) with many greenfield stations that haven’t had time for the surrounding area to fully develop yet. That means that those stations are using full budget but haven’t reached full ridership yet

Cut off highway funds? Ooh, don’t threaten me with a good time…

Hey man, don’t scold people for being willing to change their mind when confronted with evidence. Better to be wrong and change your mind than to be a mindless ideologue.

This is a cloud worth yelling at.

I work for a subcontractor at a gov site run by the prime. They gov got a Keurig machine on the site as part of the contract. No pods, just the machine. It was BYO on the coffee.
