The President said of the U.S. economy: "We are a department store, and we set the price. I meet with the companies, and then I set a fair price, what I consider to be a fair price, and they can pay it, or they don't have to pay it."

And then... I lost it.

Note that it's output, not production Honda weighs on shifting. Most likely they will produce 99% of the car in their facilities in Canada and Mexico and import them as "car parts" to be "assembled" in the US.

I have complained about both of my alma maters frequently so I want to share praise where praise is due.

I'm proud of Harvard for finding their backbone. It's a big deal because everyone else looks to them. And godspeed to them in fighting this shakedown bullshit from the Trump administration.

EU's response (in addition to higher tariffs) should be much higher digital taxes on big tech firms. It's digital products that EU imports the most from the US and taxing them more would be also most effective.
Trump calls for Europe to pay reparations to the US: "We put a big tariff on Europe. They are coming to the table. They want to talk, but there's no talk unless they pay us a lot of money on a yearly basis number one for president but also for past."

Why don't credit rating agencies declare that the US federal government is in default, is beyond me
NEW: When the Trump Admin abruptly cancelled almost all USAID programs, it also refused to pay $2bln the U.S. govt owes **for work that’s been done.**

One of the cut-off programs in Syria couldn’t afford security and was robbed by masked men.
