PC-98 DOS isnt any different than regular MS-DOS for the most part, so you should be fine there. Theres some hardware you have to be familiar with like the two major sound cards and the one or two graphics systems, but its mostly smooth sailing from there.

I think that you could be right in your analysis. But you also have to consider that Robinson probably segmented his online life between various platforms or groups. If he was, say, involved in Groyper activity, he may not have told his old 2020 era friends because he didnt want to lose them.
