Veteran Clyde Kennard bravely & righteously tried to pursue higher education in Mississippi.

Wilmington Massacre (#tdih 1898) is a clear example of need for reparations.

Ursula Wolfe-Rocca wrote lesson ⬇️ because "reparations are nowhere in the textbooks my school district has adopted to help me teach young people in the U.S. about their past."

Wilmington Massacre is one of countless in U.S. history. Most massacres were designed by white supremacists to suppress voting rights, land ownership, economic advancement, education, freedom of press, & more.

Nazi officials blamed Jews for the riots (pogrom), & imposed massive fine on German Jewish community.

Similar pattern with 1919 Elaine Massacre. White mobs killed African Americans, then state sentenced 12 Black men to death, blaming them for the violence.

Many more examples up through today.

This is commonly referred to as Kristallnacht.

However, Raoul Wallenberg Foundation & more groups note it's the “Nazi term for the event” and “make[s] little of what befell the Jews of Germany and Austria on these days. We must recognize that there were a lot more broken than glass.”
