As @schomj.bsky.social said, the feeds are useful. I added the books emoji because the Skybrarians feed uses that to identify relevant posts. Also, it's very important to post photos of your cat, just as it is with other social media.

The back cover includes this quotation (with a different photo of Hampton):

"Nothing is more important than stopping fascism because fascism will stop us all." - Fred Hampton

Another incredible zine in today's cataloging queue is Muchacha Mini #5: Make Fascists Afraid Again

"And we can't just vote fascism away. It requires active opposition. But we can't just be defined by what we're against - we have to also imagine what we want to build."

Recommended: this history of Black comedians. Did you know that it was Black vaudevillian Charlie Case’s punching motion that we sat “punchline” today. Or that it’s because of Richard Pryor’s potty mouth that there’s a 7-second broadcast delay? Also sapphic news about Loretta Aiken/Moms Mabley.

So, under Title VI, you're mandated to be friends with everyone, even if you don't agree with them about what you perceive to be a genocide?

www.eventbrite.com/e/panel-talk... I'm doing this "Panel Talk: Ephemera and Movement Politics" on Monday 9/29. They're charging, mostly so they get an accurate audience headcount. My plan is a zine story (quarter) hour, pending permission from the creator of the zine I have in mind.

This is how I feel knowing I'm going to a suburban supermarket later today. Anyone need a large quantity of a niche item? #CityBumpkin

I love tabouli, and I love kale, but this looks like the 2025 version--unrecognizable to democracy.

On July 31, 77 Barnard staff members were laid off. Here are a mutual aid fundraiser you can contribute to barnardstaffmutualaid.betterworld.org, an Ig handle to follow www.instagram.com/barnardstaff..., and a photo from Laura Rosenbury's inauguration that is worth 1,000 words.

I downloaded this zine for my library with the intention of reflecting back some students' perspectives on Gaza. I expected it to be Israel Uber Alles, but it's this. I don't mind that my attempt to find a pro-Gaza genocide zine has so far failed.

I'll be in the #ZinePavilion most of the weekend. I'm hosting a zine reading in booth 1862 on Saturday from 2-3. Anyone can read, but I'm going to ask that you read from an actual zine made of paper, not that I make the rules.
