Really good series in general. They tackle many such assholes, and it’s kind of interesting how similar their backstories are.

But seriously. Let's look at Thiel: Raised by evangelical parents, overwhelmingly religious, carried a chessboard with him and challenged people to matches -- flipped the board and got pissed whenever he lost. Turned libertarian because no one wanted to date him. Sound familiar?

Well that one kind of went both ways. Double benefit! A) Get the USSR to over-militarize and go broke. B) Tell Americans we have to militarize MORE to also keep up, and fuel the military industrial complex + out of control intelligence apparatus. "For national security" obviously :P
