Today was my first run that was unquestionably a full mile. For several days now I managed to run the full short loop in the neighborhood, but it measures in just shy of a mile. Today was the first day I've added one side street which definitely pushes the route past the mile mark.

Project Update: Second table is done! I got sidetracked by trying to get a couple shop lights up in the basement so I'd have better work lighting. This one also took a little more work than the first cause of a water stain. Grandma must have had a potted plant on it at some point.

Table update: two coats of finish on. Tomorrow evening I can give it a quick buff and this one will be done.

I'm starting up a small-ish project that's quite important to me. I got a set of end tables from my grandparents after they passed, but they're desperately in need of some love. I'm excited to start the process of cleaning up and refinishing them all!

I'm so happy that I live somewhere that makes me want to just get outside and run, even on more mild and dry days in the winter. My neighborhood offers me a short loop that's just shy of 1 mile, or a longer loop that's over 2.

I finally finished my pantry project today! It's far from perfect, but it's my first project quite like this. It'll work just fine, and I learned a lot from the process.

2024 was a big year of change, some good, some bad. Most importantly, I got the heck out of Texas and found a house here in Ohio. On the flip side, I lost my two remaining grandparents. And that's on top of an aunt, brother in law, and third grandparent who all passed in late 2022/2023.

Reminder to periodically clean the glass of your light fixtures. They don't just collect bugs, but also dust or even grease if they're in a kitchen. The previous owners of this house clearly never did and they were super gross.
