all the NASA funded positions may be subject to some rule preventing citizens from some countries to apply (including PRC). well I understand this might be due to some "security consideration" but how do they still put "equal opportunity" in their job ads is something I don't know 🤨

A 1-year extendable contract means extra risk of being rejected to re-enter the US. This is probably due to funding issues but still not good news, especially under the current situation when it's even more risky to apply for a US visa.
