In UK politics, if you wait long enough the same scandals and corrupt practices come 'round again. So, what's next? MPs expenses (again)? Crony government contracts (Covid)?
Will anything ever change?
Legislators for Hire

Tory MP allowed a company that paid him £60,000 a year to effectively write his parliamentary questions.

What can poor do to get MP attention?

Political corruption destroys nations.

End corruption: criminalize political donations, spurious consultancies.

The growing hole is not in the nations finances, the UK is not like a household with a finite budget, it's a fiat economy.
The growing hole is what Starmer and Reeves are digging themselves (and us) into.
#WealthTax #TakingThePip
Reeves expected to freeze income tax thresholds to raise funds after welfare U-turn. Why blame the poor?

Govt has numerous choices:
Tax capital gains, dividends at the same rate as wages
Reduce pension tax relief to the ultra rich
Increase NIC for ultra-rich.
Wealth tax
FTT
Cut corporate welfare
Reeves expected to freeze income tax thresholds to raise funds after welfare U-turn
Government’s concessions over welfare cuts leave chancellor with a growing hole in her budget

SCOTUS has just basically said that citizenship is a privilege you will lose if you anger Dear Leader.

PIP doesn’t cover the real cost of being disabled.

Carer’s Allowance doesn’t value the work of caring.

Universal Credit doesn’t meet basic needs.

This is abandonment by design.

Labour was founded to protect the vulnerable, not abandon them.

How can any Labour MP defend cuts and pushing disabled people into poverty?

Silence is complicity.

Being disabled in the UK costs over £1,000 extra per month. PIP covers a tiny fraction. The rest? Debt. Poverty. Suffering. #PIP #DisabilityBenefits #DisabilityJustice Justice means saying no to these cuts.

Masked and unmarked ICE agents (real or fake) are causing fear and chaos in our communities. California legislators have introduced the No Secret Police Act, which would prohibit law enforcement officers from hiding their identities during public operations. Urge your local leaders to act. 👇

Watch this. Because this is the way: Local officials using their platform right, reaching out to the community.

Ambrocio “Enrique” Lozano, affectionately known as “the popsicle man,” was reportedly abducted in broad daylight in Culver City. Masked man. White van. Cart left behind in the street.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

How long will it be before Starmer is forced out as Labour leader? Not long, and the timescales are getting ever shorter. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/06...
How long for Starmer?
The front page of The Times this morning notes Labour MPs calling for 'regime change'. Let me caveat that. First, this is The Times. They are no lovers of Labour. Second, this is what I am hearing...
