It's rough because A: it's the system people are most likely to play and B: I really do like the rest of the package!

For all of the criticisms I see and believe of the Dragon Game, it's still excellent at delivering the mysterious alchemical combination of traits I want from a campaign TTRPG!

This is part of why I struggle to run the Dragon Game. I know the design expects and needs 6 encounters in a day to function optimally, but I have an impossible time constructing scenarios that actually facilitate that, or can compel the players to stick to it. Especially every (adventuring) day!

NGL, I don't even blame the driver. The job is to sit there and do nothing until a sudden moment you need to react fast enough AND know to override the automated system you're expecting to work and are relying on. I can't imagine a single human being able to successfully perform such a role.
