I also want to note as an addendum that "pushing tutorializaton on players" and "having no resources at all" are not the same thing. I'm dating myself here but a LOT of 90s adventure games had an NPC you could _ask_ for hints but who would not typically volunteer them and many are beloved characters

game is a remake (of a remake?) of a 1987 PC-88 wizardry-style game that was based on a 1981(?) tabletop game.

Famitsu 235 page 18 preview of the game in 1993, two years before its 1995, not sure if any of this is left in the rom (I doubt it)
