week 7 of this year...
No ICU admissions registered in the last 7-day period.
Other hospitalizations continue to UP. Last week 165, now 171. A value we have not seen since February 2 (184).

Doesn't say much, since that is usually not where the severely ill Covid patients are cared for.
Other hospitalizations are increasing RAPIDLY. Last week 131, now 165! Which is the HIGHEST value since the beginning of FEBRUARY!
Time to buckle up!

hospitalized with Covid-19 right now is 127, pretty much unchanged from last Thursday's 129.
This could actually mean that we have now reached the bottom of the curve, and that it will start to climb again from now on. This is confirmed by the increased death toll.

We can certainly state that in ICU they do not die in any case, the vast majority.
The total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 right now is fairly stable at 313, but I suspect the numbers will be revised upwards, as there are still layoffs and delays in reporting.

scroll to the very bottom, to "Statistics on inpatient patients with covid-19" and select the spreadsheets "Overall statistics" and "Enrolled in inpatient care

covid inpatient care, as said, the National Board of Health and Welfare has stopped updating, but admitted right now, 283 hospitalized at the same time, roughly the same as last week's 284, it wouldn't surprise me if it is now the winter increase that is now starting in earnest.

b) most severely covid patients do not end up in ICU, but are treated in other hospital departments, such as geriatrics and infectious disease clinics.
November 29, 2024 at 7:12 AM
in the last seven-day period Says very little, because a) we have a "backlog" even on these numbers, b) most severely covid patients do not end up in ICU, but are treated in other hospital departments, such as geriatrics and infectious disease clinics.
