I love this series so much it hurts. I'll absolutely be one of the first to give it a watch.

Finished a gruesome little manga, Manhole by Tetsuya Tsutsui. It was published in the early Oughts and was one of his first works apparently.

The story's a very interesting take on an outbreak, with gruesome art and a logic to it that keeps the events realistic, if extreme.

Two episodes into Takopi's Original Sin and I'm more than hooked. I want to know more about the author, see what the original version of the story was like.

It's not something you should try lightly. It's absurdly dark, but it has handled that darkness in a way that feels respectful of the subject.

I've never been more proud of any compliment or comparison than this one.

My memory is awful, so I know I missed a ton that'd beat some of these out. Still, these were 10 movies that deeply affected me and my tastes.

What actor's expression in a movie will stay with you for the rest of your life?

I honestly could keep going.

Don't ask for an explanation, for I have none.

Even the recent push for outside media represented in it makes me a little giddy when it gets something right. This one for instance that translates a character quirk I ADORED in his story in the source game into a limited yet powerful AND flavorful effect. It just made me happy to see.

Clair Obscure is the best RPG I've played in a decade. I've been playing RPGs for 26 years, it's my all-time favorite genre, and this game takes everything I love about them and sharpens it into a bleeding edge. Music, strategy, difficulty, art direction, and above all writing, it's all incredible

Finally gave Ender Lillies: Quietus of the Knights a shot. On the surface it's very obviously inspired by things like Dark Souls and Hollow Knight, presenting a labrynthine world past its end date with nothing to really save. It's very same-y in that way.

But...

God it's incredible getting to see these up close. I'd always, ALWAYS wanted to see Starry Night up close...

It's my favorite movie of all time!

Someday I wanna collect as much info as I can about the
Project Moon setting and run a campaign of some kind set within it. It's a fertile bed for stories dealing with callous corporations and the human capacity for both kindness and cruelty.

Finally made it through the fifth chapter of Limbus Company. It's so refreshing to see storytelling like this, simultaneously building up the world with fascinating concepts while delving deep into the inner lives of our protagonists. It's big, loud, emotional, but it EARNS that bombast.

Still not all the way through it, but Wanderstop's already made me tear up and have a small panic attack about my own experiences with burnout and the cascading failues that came from it before easing me gently back into being at peace. So uh...

Play it. It's about $25, just go for it.

I doubt you remember it, but you were technically the first person to give me a fursona. You took my profile pic at the time and used a filter to give it this cat nose after I mentioned not having one. It was such a sweet joke that helped me to embrace being in the fandom down the line. I love it!

To distract myself, here's two characters I adore. Yi Sang and Virgil from Limbus Company. I love all these dorks, but these two are especially impactful to me.

They are the Lala Barina, a spider with silken fur that blooms like a rose, and the Rompopolo, this Kiwi-like bird that uses a bee-stinger to inflate and explode bits of the ground while protecting itself with bubbles of oil. Just super creative and eerie designs all around!

Oh!! In less depressing news, I've fallen in love with the idea of this game. It's Davey Wreden's latest game, or at least one he's working on now. It's a "Cozy-Core" game where you're in a whimsical clearing deep in the woods working in a tea shop. It's Rune Factory without financial pressures.

First time using this, first time doing them myself. It's kinda nice having the shittily done black polish look though...

It's wild how vividly you can remember something in a dream. I haven't seen Lola for a few years since she passed away, but last night I saw and felt her so vividly it was like she visited. I know that's likely not the case, but I hope it is. I really miss her. :3
