If you're single issue or expect perfection, this won't sway you. You're just going to die disappointed, sorry. The world doesn't run on how much we think something will or should be different.

Biden's entire presidency would look a lot different with 2 or 3 more seats in the Senate.

Democrats will always disappoint you, but the overall vehicle is perfect for stopping authoritarianism and rebuilding something better after all this destruction... if everyone stays dedicated to more better.

Fight hard for anyone you want in pre-election times, in primaries, and in social media arguments... but never fight against whoever is on the ballot at the end of the day. Winning the majority is the first goal. Winning a majority plus enough to override the awful people in the majority is the 2nd.

Because if the left can learn anything from the right, it's that if you want to win, and if you want to succeed in achieving your end goals. You must remain dedicated to the team even when you don't like the person, the plan, or the right now.

Democracy requires a plurality and therefore agreement.

Because the entire math on this is simple. It won't change because of one election, one person, or one vote either. You're either dedicated to the long-play or you are too weak to see it through, too emotional in the wrong ways to care enough to continue through the disappointment and anger.

The system has to be reorganized, before it can be restructured and support third-parties in a way that actually grants power to them to hold sway over the duopoly we have lived with for over 100 years.

So you're going to hear me livid as hell at the democrats, but I'm still going to vote for them.
December 13, 2025 at 2:10 AM
I support third parties existing, but for that to happen we need people in power that will never come from the right. We need rank choice voting at local, state, and federal levels. We need a party that can be pushed to that end... that's the democrats. Right now all third parties do is fracture.

Democrats will never be anyone's one true love. The people on the left side of the aisle are too broad for that to be true. You're going to be mad that they're too left or too right, all the time.

But if people do not simply agree it's trash, but it's our trash, we'll continue to lose indefinitely.

This game is simple. I don't need to get what I want all the time, I simply want what we as a whole need... a thriving democratic republic with consistent application of the law, free and fair elections, and some agreement that we must help eachother. I can debate policy, I can't debate morality.

Absolutely vile to be helping evil deeds under the guise of bipartisanship.
