A detailed painting of a still life scene. A hand of a man holding a peeled orange and strong sunlight hitting them both, creating a strong but beautiful contrast between colors. The main focus of this painting are subsurface scattering and bounce light(I recommend searching these terms up), they create interesting and saturated color transitions on the subjects of this painting. The colors of the orange go from white, yellow, orange and almost to red-orange color at the darker parts, away from the direct sunlight. The colors of the hand go from white, to fleshy reds where the subsurface scattering happens, to dark reds in the shadows and muted flesh tones on the rest of the hand where the sunlight isn't hitting it directly. Where the hand is holding the orange, bounce light from the orange affects the color of the hand, turning the skin slightly orange. The man is wearing a long sleeved, red hoodie or blouse, that is also being hit by the direct sunlight at the top, but unlike the hand it's out of focus. The background of this painting is blurred, as it was in the reference, creating a direct focus on the subject of this image.

This year has been less creative than last one because of everything eating away at me, but I still made something and that's something is worth more than anything AI generated.

My proudest creation isn't art but it is art related & gives back into the art community. (My resources mega-thread hehe)
