he can’t really die in any normal sort of way, though(, since I personally read Hydaelyn’s champion post-prae as being functionally a sundered ascian), so maybe his opinions re: his own death will change when he actually discovers this ! Shrug emoji

From a functional standpoint, his soul has been fused with a voidsent’s for ~21 years atp + because there has definitely been bleed in their ideologies + personalities, I think Arsene would operate off a subconscious assumption that if he dies, he will just get eaten by Something

But he is also a bit of a hypocrite + will get really angry at other people not allowing the dead to rest. It is unclear if this is because he lost his birth family very young + his misery craves company OR if he simply has a deep recognition of death’s sanctity. Probably both

One of the other player characters is a halfling priest whose whole faith is in protecting the sanctity of death and ensuring the dead stay that way. Fingers crossed I don’t die in the first two sessions !
