I'm a parent of 2 men who were diagnosed with autism when not too many had heard of it. Our oldest, severely autistic, passed 4 yrs ago - now that was/is heartbreaking. Hard every single moment? Without a doubt, I'll give you that, but I would rather finding the root of pedophilia than autism.
