I just want to be left alone by nutters from the far right and the far left, to get on with thinking, and reading, and viewing interesting posts from normal people. Retired GP. Active Grandfather. Happy.

i hear much negativity about Meanjin but nobody seems willing to put their hand in their pocket to help save it. #meanjin
#meanjin $200,000 would get Meanjin up again. I am happy to donate $10,000 and if 19 others could be found to make up The Twenty publication is assured. I'd prefer in Brisbane ... too much hatred and politics in Victoria for a literary magazine. An independent voluntary board. tinyurl.com/3z9wma7a
Decision to close Meanjin criticised as act of ‘utter cultural vandalism’
Shutting long-running literary journal, which published emerging writers as well as the cream of Australia’s literary talent, described as ‘enormous loss’

The classic live album – At Fillmore East – was released today in 1971 on Capricorn. Impeccably produced by Tom Dowd, it was recorded in mid-March of 1971 – when the Allman Brothers Band was unquestionably at its peak. But in less than a year both Duane Allman and Berry Oakley would tragically pass.

To that end, I found Justice Thomas's concurrence on medical care for transgender youth quite illuminating. He argues that many of our so-called "experts" have used bad arguments and substandard science to push experimental therapies on our youth.

I might add that many of those scientists are receiving substantial resources from big pharma to push these medicines on kids. What do you think?

The Democrats really need to get rid of all the old men and women in leadership positions in the party. David Hogg, I hope, will persist with plans for a Democrat renewal.

AI is coming for YOUR job and jobs all across the country.

Who will benefit from this revolutionary transformation?

Will it be working class Americans or the billionaires who own the technology?

That is the economic struggle of our time.

it's not a cow "baby". It's a calf. With this level of intelligence no wonder you elected Trump. !!

This just shows how hopeless the Democratic Party is if they cannot find a suitable candidate to defeat this fraud.
As long as I live, I will never understand how this was not a dealbreaker.
