i really want to know what "conservative" actually means to these people when they this kind of stuff. Are we talking culture war conservatives, fiscal conservatives, or what? For a party that claims to hate identity politics they sure do think a lot about classifying people based on identity.

My certain to be wrong conspiracy is that the GOP is actually getting sick of Trump and hope that Epstein files take him down without them having to publicly break with him, and risk their political and physical lives with their insane base.
