Animated BJ is always sicc'ed against a Freddy that's at his narmiest and meme-iest, the Freddy who showed up on a Nightmare on Elm Street rap album. No matter which Freddy you TRY to throw at him, that's the Freddy you get. And they're evenly matched, but it usually ends with BJ losing...

Broadway BJ is a little more pathetic (vis a vis his backstory), and a little less... y'know. Just less. OG BJ's fight with Freddy is a Bugs Bunny curb stomp; this is almost the inverse, with Beetlejuice clawing his way up and beating Freddy last minute with a VERY catchy musical number.
