How do you feel after a 16 hours ride? I only have cycling to compare with (24HB charity ride) and it's kinda brutal.

Very nearly! It was a disintegrating plastic coupling that contacts the upper clutch sensor. So many rubber and plastic parts fail after a car is >20 years old.

Maybe! There's pleochroism in that feather, though, so it shows quite red from some angles (but still less vibrant and a different hue to Gracie's feather).

It is indeed! This one's stayed at the front since you gifted me one. She has pretty feathers. The red's more vibrant than even what I believe is a cardinal feather to the left (tho it shows somewhat brown from this angle).

I delivered my diatribe and let the bolts fly. I'm not one to seek release by expression of anger but it does feel good to have done a reasonably-measured something about an issue. If it comes back I don't mind taking a fall for principle and ethic.
