Russians executed two captured fighters. On December 27, in the village of Shakhove, Pokrovsk, Russian occupiers, threatening them with weapons, forced one of the defenders to partially undress, after which they shot both defenders, and then removed the clothing from the second defender as well.

Russian milblogger Romanov reports that several Russian units in Kupyansk remain fully encircled, holding out in small groups and surrounded by mines. He claims to have voice and video messages from those trapped. Other Z-channels confirm attempts are underway to break the encirclement.

In Saratov, an oil refinery has been burning since early morning. Local channels report that the fire started as a result of a drone attack. The blaze broke out in an industrial zone, which has been confirmed by local authorities, but the causes and the scale of the fire are still being determined.
