Being a perfectionist in your writing is the default setting for new writers. We all start that way. But when you’re building a house, you don’t paint it as you go. You lay a foundation, build a structure, put in the wiring & pipes, build the walls and lay the floors, THEN you can think about paint.

🔑 my 2 keys to a restful winter (aka fight the 6pm blues)

1. invest in the hatch alarm (my first winter w/ her & the red light, music, & podcast-like options are game changers as an unwind routine)

2. make your mornings productive (start work earlier, get your shit done, go for walks, exercise)

pursuing your passions is hot! setting goals for your dream job is hot! manifesting all your wildest dreams in a journal at the end of a shitty day is HOT!

The reason I'm so positive about aspiring writers is that I believe that:

* Anyone who can string a sentence together can write a story, script or book.

* Anyone who puts enough time, effort, and workshopping into it can write a GOOD story, script, or book.

* Anything finished can be fixed.
