most frustrating thing in the world, to me

also a big memory is reading Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius on a high school trip of some kind and feeling like the floor was dropping out of the universe from how much it diverged from my sense of what a piece of fiction could be like

like what if everyone made a loud and nasty sound that hits you in the head? what if classical music sounded a bit more like shape note singing?

I really believe that choirs (or at least some of them) should be trying to sound more like choirs from the 30s or earlier — a horrible weirdo opinion!

I feel like I’m not a true lover of singing if I like Mozart more than massenet but the music just low key annoys me
