This was, for me, one of the most heartbreaking things about Bergen-Belsen - 52,000 dead & only 10,000 have been identified. Anne Frank is obviously one of the most famous victims buried here but the number of mass graves with the label ‘an unknown number of dead are buried here’ just wrung my heart
