I've always enjoyed the gameplay of soulsborne games, so looking forward to giving this one a shot, specially after how long it took me to get around to checking it out.

Not quite what I expected, but it ended up being better.
Incredibly delightful game I loved very much, up to the "brain hurt..." puzzles of the postgame, which I found kind of missleading what they were for.

With how much I enjoyed PLA, getting ZA seemed like a no-brainer, and the first half of the game was nothing but delightful.
Sadly, the second half falls off(great final chapter tho credit where it's due) and the postgame is *awful*. Pure grind hell.

With how much I enjoyed PLA, getting ZA seemed like a no-brainer, and the first half of the game was nothing but delightful.

Opposite of the above, this next Free* try-out of the genre was a hit despite initially not caring much for it. Fantastic on-boarding, just the right level of autism in the gameplay, engaging loop, fully achieves the "just one more game" hook.

A free* try-out of the Extraction genre, I really wanted to like this game as the combat is right up my alley, and I think I'd love it as a coop PvE looter, but the bad on-boarding experience and over-intrusive PvE on a PvP game turned me away from it.

Everything good you've heard about this one is true. It is *not* over-hyped.
It may not be the best game of all time as some folks would insist it is, but it's easily one of the best I've ever played.

If I had a nickel for every time I beat a nightmarish superboss in less than 3 attempts, I'd have two nickels, which is not much but it's weird that it happened twice to me

If this game was exactly the same but every enemy(yes, even the brutes) was replaced by their halo 2 iteration, this game would be absolute peak.
Sadly, every enemy being far too over-buffed, to the point of even the grunts being a legitimate threat, ruins it all.

Easily my favorite in the whole series and I'm devastated to know there'll never be a sequel to this. best game balance in the series(also easiest, but that's mostly due to easy encounters than easy enemies), immaculate atmosphere, most satisfying gunplay, aura.

I won't say it was truly perfect but, if I gave 1 a 10/10, absolutely gotta give it to this one too. It really felt like they perfected the things they tried with the first two games, specially the tightness of encounters and weapon balance. Also holy hell that ending.

Some of the level design had me going "wat." at times, both in terms of "so many enemies so little cover" and "where go? what do? where door?", but at it's core, it's more Halo, and that made all the fustrations easily worth it
