So much resistance groundwork has been done in and around Chicago for months. It’s sad to see that left out of this, given the blueprint created and modified in real time as we learned here between July and November.

It goes so well with pork or beef or turkey. It’s a nice thing to have with bitter greens like kale or chard.

Having lived it, it stills seems unreal. Trying to tell family and friends around the US and world what it’s been like in Chicago is just surreal. I show people photos and they still can’t believe it.
