If a PC wishes for wealth, people of a barony are charmed into believing they're the baron & paying them rent… but the old baron & cronies still think he DESERVES to be baron & so become enemies.

If they wish for a magic item, they get a vision of where to find it… with trouble matching its power.

I don't play the game, but I love the Hogwarts Legacy walk-thrus. It's an incredible creation. Are there any non-HP things like that? Assassin's Creed walk-thrus are historically pretty cool but not as fantastical.

The courier snail has the advantage of being able to crawl along walls or ceilings. Chance of carrying a letter: 4-in-6.

- Bad guys reveal the villain's identity/location/plans/special abilities
- Letter reveals the nature/location of the treasure
- Solution to a puzzle is used again
- Part of a treasure is a map, code book, or key needed elsewhere
- Heroes witness bad guys using a password or bypassing a trap

I remember my medieval lit professor saying that "injured in the thigh" was a euphemism for the character being castrated. And then I looked at a picture of armor & said, "Well, of course they kept getting injured in the thigh. That's where there was no armor."

Note how a d4 dagger can't cause a narrow escape (forcing movement). A longsword has 2-in-8 chance of most results but only 1-in-8 for narrow escape. But a great weapon can have any result 2-in-10 times, forcing movement more often.
