But we can't talk about it - who can't? Victims aren't allowed because people don't want it around, writers and artists can't, survivors can't, everyone can't - except the people who do it apparently!

THEY can do it, and then we're told the emails, no big deal yeah? Not news.

Because it's common and it's common and you don't talk about it! And people pretend -- oooh it's a career ender, oooh it's a life ender - NO IT'S NOT. It's not, we just transfer them to a new church. We elect them president.

Okay.

Like one guy got sorta held accountable and they're still mad.

Anyway: pornographic art and performance is good, people have a right to the vast majority of their kinks, and it is ridiculous that consenting adults are finding those rights strangled by big tech and payment platforms

I'd say more "anything concealed by conspiracy is also floating around on the internet fully openly, but in a way where it's not easily distinguished from garbage."

The darker side of this is, abuse causes paranoia, so people who have been pressured to keep quiet about something sound unreliable.

It never ceases to amaze me how many journalists convince themselves that a "story" is a thing that exists completely independent of their input and choices. Like no, actually, you're not the *only* thing that makes something a story, but you definitely get a vote

This is also a difference, but yes, the number of different shades of nuance in this metaphor was why I picked it. Legal and ethical and social perception are three different layers.

There is even a case to be made that violent rhetoric concerning someone who deals in violent rhetoric professionally may be *ethically* different in its severity from the same rhetoric directed at someone else, for the same reason hitting a boxer is regarded differently from hitting a dancer.

How about you explain why you can't Google basic facts yourself, if you want me to do it for you?
