Indie #gamedev! I like procedural generation, pixel art, and UI.

Post to me your proudest project (or the one you're most excited about)!
Just an idea:
Still render the text all at once. But separately, draw the grid colors to a small image that you stretch over everything and multiply with the text using a blend mode.
Composite over a second stretched image for the background colors?

Thanks so much for watching, and saying so! o/

It's too true!!

For almost the entire time, I was resolving interactions per object rather than per collision, and I was losing my mind to stuff just randomly exploding because of that simple mistake.

And yeah I don't even need an edge case for rigidbodies to rocket to space. They prefer that mode

I made my physics engine in 7 days, using only past experience, trial-and-error, and a whole lot of dot products 😅

5 of those days were spent struggling with rigidbody physics, haha

As I was growing up, I thought I wanted to be many things:

An inventor
A magician
An artist
A musician
An animator
A writer

Turns out, I didn't have to pick! I could be ALL of it. Gamedev is every bit of my dreams and so much more. I love this career!

I hadn't thought about that! Would you pick them the round before your turn, so you have to predict what your opponent will choose first?

I considered letting the opponent control shuffles by pressing swap presets. But it would be hard to both shuffle AND pay attention to what's under each cup haha

I animated these little emoji guys for the video! #aftereffects #2danimation

They represent "autonomy", "competence", and "relatedness" in Psychology.

They're kind of why we do what we do. Say hi:

To create the maze visualizations in my new video (see previous post in 🧵), I created a little physics solver with a bunch of animation controls! #haxe #gamedev

Here was an early test of it:

Tada! The weird thing about the game is:
It's a PowerPoint game made of 1046 slides, created by hand. #gamedev

My first code was... kind of a bop!
Written in AppleScript in 2006. #programming #gamedev
