This week's #dataviz book was sent to me by a former MICA classmate and I can't be more excited. Not just for learning more about #inclusivedesign but because it is awesome to have found incredible people thru MICA, WID, and DVS and we're able to share and contribute to each other's journeys.

While back I remade a unique graphic for an open in SciAm that I called the Scatter-Gantt. Never saw a #dataviz with that combo before and I thought it was noteworthy.

Just found a Scatter-Dumbbell in @timleong.bsky.social 's Star Wars Super Graphics book!! Love this!

Time got away from me this year so I'm resharing the visualization I made last year, which definitely deserves a better name than just "Horror Novels". I'm thinking 'Webs of Nightmares' or 'Spinning Dark Tales'. I'm terrible at naming things. Thoughts?

Absolute blast at @jasonforrest.bsky.social 's Data Vandals exhibit this weekend, featuring workshops from NYC Open Data, Flourish, Accurat, and Data x Design!

And the artwork was amazing and quite informational! Learned lots about Union Square and left looking at the neighborhood w/ new eyes!

You can never go wrong with pen and paper, but I have to confess, e-ink tablets have been growing on me since I started using one this year.
