Harris took more shit from the left for campaigning for Liz Cheney without conceding anything to her on policy than Trump took from the right for abandoning the idea of federal abortion restrictions.

Harder to win when the team doesn’t really want it.

The usual suspects are out there yelling "There are 23 million government workers! Fire most of them!" No awareness that most work for local governments, and most of *them* are schoolteachers. Federal employment hasn't grown since the 1950s

Just a friendly reminder that one can acknowledge that laws, constitutions, &c. don't enforce themselves without sliding all the way to "HAHA NOTHING MATTERS!"

Even the most dictatorial governments are subject to political constraints. Participate in the politics you want to see in the world.

Getting a lot of replies along the lines of "oh, you rube, you still think the law matters" and it feels strategically foolish to just concede that it doesn't. Contest everything. Expose the hypocrisy.

Yes. This. Each time I post about the hypocrisy I'm getting these kinds of cynical responses, and really, stop it. I get that everyone copes in their own way, but don't pre-give in. Fight for your actual rights. Call out the hypocrisy. Not to convince them, but to remind everyone else.

Just to be clear: the incoming Trump administration is going to war against their own Republican senate majority and the constitution's advice and consent provision so they can make a man investigated for ***sex trafficking a minor*** into the most powerful law enforcement officer in the country.

If you’re saying that Democrats would have won if they had just been more like Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders, you’re telling everyone you’re a pundit who ignores data.

MAGA has become shameless in their hypocrisy, especially concerning Twitter.

They are completely fine with Elon doing all the things they used to complain about old Twitter leadership doing.

Utterly shameless.

Anyone you see on your timeline right now praising RFK Jr. is a person you never need to take seriously on anything ever again.

It is difficult to overstate just how extreme, conspiratorial, and insane RFK’s views are, on vaccines, microchips & beyond. He’s Alex Jones in a suit.

RFK announcement puts a fine point on something I've been trying to articulate and is a theme of the Trump years. It's something I've wrestled with and that a lot of Dem messaging has gotten wrong. Part of what Trump does is constantly divide the country along the lines of pro-system and anti-system
