These years I only get a few "big" games now and then, and mostly play smaller indie games.

The #Switch2 didn't speak to me, mostly with the higher game prices and the key-cards.

But just looking at releases like #Metroid: Why would I *willingly* pay for a new machine AND MUCH higher prices?

The view is a POV shot when going into the entrance hall of a small mansion. It's extremely dark, with some stairs leading up the second floor. On the top half is a large entrance door. There is no visible door and only darkness inside.

Extremely crude drawing, with a very rough outline of a torso with a head that looks like a flame and wears sunglasses. Also with some lines alluding to some handle from a bike. Ironically enough, the main duo worked quite well from the start, but I had to sketch some side chars mutliple times (especially the fire fairy and her fight against the fairies)

On average, each character took me 2-3 hours
Five pages of sketches are layed out on the floor, showing the characters from the drawing, sometimes more crude and sometimes very close to the finished image.

It took me a month, but I'm happy to finally present this crossover of #Yoshi and #Lip from #tetrisattack and #paneldepon for the SNES (1995)

I always loved playing these games and the music will stick with me forever ✨

W.I.P. Sketches for the backound of the Yoshi/Lip illustration I'm working on
There a several sketches of characters on the page, with two larger ones in the middle. One is Bowser from Super Mario (A standing turtoise with horns). The other is Sanatos from Panel de Pon, a tall demon with massive horns and a cape. There are smaller sketches of a yoshi on a bird, a pinguin, a dog, a phoenix, a girl firing fireballs and a fairy queen.

I tried looking up some kanji (japanese), in this case the character for "marriage" - and I got some mixed messages 😅
Kanji are Chinese characters and used in the writing of Japanese. The kanji for "marriage" is made up from several smaller smaller symbols. In this case are the following highlighted: thread, good luck, woman, family name and day. The image shows a simple drawing of a wedding pair giving their vows, connected by a red thread forming a heart. The caption reads: A joyful day on which a woman forms a thread to a new family. The kanji for "marriage" again, but in this case the symbols are highlighted in a different way, forming either the same or other meanings. These are: thread, woman, samurai, mouth and dark or evening. The image shows a gloomy sky with a furious woman at the front. In one hand she holds a sword, in the other she grabs the tie of her terrified husband. The caption reads: At dusk a samurai lady with a gaping mouth ties a man to herself.

Finally saw "Sing a Bit of Harmony" recently. It was a fun musical! But primarily I needed to see the context of the judo scene that's been living in my head rent-free for quite a while.
