These years I only get a few "big" games now and then, and mostly play smaller indie games.

The #Switch2 didn't speak to me, mostly with the higher game prices and the key-cards.

But just looking at releases like #Metroid: Why would I *willingly* pay for a new machine AND MUCH higher prices?

Might actually need to upgrade my PC. The newest animation goes for about 4 minutes - and if I wanted to render it in 1080p it would've taken about *4-8 hours* of render time.
720p was done in 1 hour.

Even moving along the timeline in edit mode took a few seconds before being able to do anything.

I spotted this on Mastodon and I find it horrible, not least for the speed with which this has happened.
A post on Mastodon by small cypress (@small_cypress@indieweb.social): As an art teacher I was worried AI would come up as an issue of "why should I learn how to draw when I can use AI instead." But the real issue is that my middle schoolers CONSTANTLY believe all art I show them is AI. Digital art. Photography. Oil paintings from the Western canon. "A human couldn't do that" Being convinced that humans can't make great art is kind of terrifying

The view is a POV shot when going into the entrance hall of a small mansion. It's extremely dark, with some stairs leading up the second floor. On the top half is a large entrance door. There is no visible door and only darkness inside.

Eine Zeichnung, die ich für eine Freundin gemacht hab: Sie ist auf Papier, mit Finelinern und Alkoholmarkern und zeigt den Utauloid Kasane Teto, wie sie eine Ente hält. Teto hat rötlich-pinke Haare, welche zu zwei geringelten Zöpfen gebunden sind, die Augen sind in der selben Farbe, und sie trägt ein dunkelblaues geknöpftes Oberteil, mit Details in ihrer Haarfarbe und dazu passende Armstülpen. In ihrem von uns aus linken Arm hält sie ein Enten Plüschtier (Gelb mit Orangenen Füßen). Den anderen Arm hat sie in die Hüften gestemmt, auf dessen Oberarm steht die Nummer: 0401. Teto schaut nach vorne und lächelt leicht. Der Hintergrund ist grau, mit lilanen Ecken, welche etwas in das grau übergehen. Die Äußeren Linien von Teto und der Ente sind weiß umrandet

Woke up to quite the update on this. I had been in contact with Payment Cloud about getting their service and they waited until now to hit me with the image below. Again, stringing me along instead of being upfront. They had seen my website multiple times before this.

Was at the car registration office this morning but didn't get a number plate - because!
... it's marked as stolen!?

Spent some time at the police today, but they couldn't clear up everything either, so I get to contact the car dealer on Monday! 😑

W.I.P. Sketches for the backound of the Yoshi/Lip illustration I'm working on
There a several sketches of characters on the page, with two larger ones in the middle. One is Bowser from Super Mario (A standing turtoise with horns). The other is Sanatos from Panel de Pon, a tall demon with massive horns and a cape. There are smaller sketches of a yoshi on a bird, a pinguin, a dog, a phoenix, a girl firing fireballs and a fairy queen.

I tried looking up some kanji (japanese), in this case the character for "marriage" - and I got some mixed messages 😅
Kanji are Chinese characters and used in the writing of Japanese. The kanji for "marriage" is made up from several smaller smaller symbols. In this case are the following highlighted: thread, good luck, woman, family name and day. The image shows a simple drawing of a wedding pair giving their vows, connected by a red thread forming a heart. The caption reads: A joyful day on which a woman forms a thread to a new family. The kanji for "marriage" again, but in this case the symbols are highlighted in a different way, forming either the same or other meanings. These are: thread, woman, samurai, mouth and dark or evening. The image shows a gloomy sky with a furious woman at the front. In one hand she holds a sword, in the other she grabs the tie of her terrified husband. The caption reads: At dusk a samurai lady with a gaping mouth ties a man to herself.
