Sure, but many people are too shy/modest to actually post, but use searches to find people they might want to contact. You can never really tell til you get to properly talk to people (IRL/zoom, not posting I mean)

In particular, I think a lot of students look for potential advisors on LinkedIn. I don't think I can afford to ignore LI.

I've been using Evernote; have gone through many other things. I still also like writing things in notebooks, especially when thinking things through or doing maths. I see Evernote as a way of recording things, and physically writing mostly as a way of helping me think
