This isn't a question of personal safety - this is a systemic problem! If 54% of fatal/major injuries happen near intersections, that means intersections are dangerous, not people!

This is straight outta Dr Seuss and I love every part about it.

The cyclist got hit at the exact same intersection I was about to bike by, it could have been me. We need to consider banning right on red in all downtown intersections. You shouldn’t be taking your life in your hands every time you walk or cycle. A woman got killed crossing the street a block away.

We need to start regulating driver sightlines. Any vehicle operable with a standard driver license should have better visibility than a semi truck, and certainly better than a main battle tank.
