This has caused almost a month in inventory delays, which ultimately resulted in carrier drivers asking me for CASH ON DELIVERY. I don't have checks and the company's phone lines were too busy, so I had to literally dig in sofa cushions for nickels and dimes.
So he raised the tariffs, paused that raise, paused that pause, then paused that pause of the pause. And no-one knows if it'll be paused again (and if such a pause will be unpaused) or what happens when (or if) the pause whose pause was paused concludes.
A brief history of US tariffs on the EU...
Recent decades: Mostly low and stable
April 2: 20%
April 9: 10% during a 90 day pause
May 23 (day 44 of the pause): 50% from June 1
May 25: Back to 10%, reinstating the original pause
July 9 (end of 90 day pause): ???
Inauguration Day, 2029: ???
