Back in 2016 I thought supporting a draft dodger would be a line in the sand for most Republicans. I wasn't surprised they ignored so many other disqualfying issues, but just figured draft dodging would be the thing they could not forgive. Seems weird that it never even moved the needle.

People need to be crystal clear about something: The requirement that the government ANSWER to a court on the legal basis for detaining someone is literally the core liberty right (habeas corpus). If the government says they don’t have to do that bc “national security,” YOU can be disappeared.

Will be interesting to see what Republican AGs, who spent the last four years suing Biden over allegations of abusing executive power, have to say about Trump on day one vowing to effectively ignore a bipartisan federal law that was just upheld unanimously by the Supreme Court.
