Agree 100% Fascists rely on symbols. Putin is a symbol of strength for neofascist movements globally - including Trumpism. It’s part of why Ukraine’s fight is a fight for liberal democracies. If Putin crumbles, neofascism broadly crumbles.

The other Kirk is also lacking. He is FULL of compassion, and weighed down by responsibility. Slow, weak, he 2nd guesses everything, and is risk-averse to the point of inaction. I imagine him muttering “no… must not escalate.” 3/4
