during our weekly card game, he lulled me into a false sense of security b4 turning on me and betting aggressively. He won the hand and cleaned me out.
His attitude now is "dont gamble what u cant afford to lose" & "tough luck"

is now in danger of falling under the sway of something akin to fascism. If this occurs it's likely that there'll be no going back from that.
With the connivance of a short sighted elite focused only on self-enrichment, we will have essentially chosen barbarism over socialism.

If either of these countries come to be ruled by the far-right it will be indisputable that the EU itself will have become a largely far-right bloc.
Considering that the US will be ruled by a neo-fascist party for the next few years if not longer, we can say that the entire western world . . . 2/3
